Coaching course to get you confident and rolling in your quad roller skates.
Store6 hosts its fourth 'Get Rolling' course led by trusted coach Charlie (ex-roller derby player and all-round legend).
Weekly coaching by the lovely Charlie Cannon Fire who takes you through quad skating need-to-knows...from checking your kit and looking after it to safely getting moving, stopping, turning and more. A supportive, small group that always has a laugh.
Because we want this to be genuine coaching with you each seeing progress in your skating and confidence, we deliberatly keep the group small. This skate group will be a maximum of 8 people.
How many sessions?
The course runs over six weeks with two 1 hour skates per week - you'll get 12 hours of coached skating sessions (so that works out at a tenner per skate session)
What kit do I need?
You need your own quads and safety gear (knee and elbow pads plus wrist guards)
What level of skating should I be at?
You need to be happy getting your skates on and standing...maybe a few strides over a short distance. Basically you need to be happy getting your skates on and getting up....plus a willingness to give it a go.
When does it start?
The first session starts on Wednesday 10 November at 7.30pm (meet 7.30pm, skate 7.45 - 8.45 pm)
The course runs on Wednesday evenings (7.30pm) and Sunday mornings (10am).
Because this is the Autumn course we have secured indoor venues for ALL the skate sessions so we are free to skate whatever the weather.
Where is it held?
We are delighted to have secured two great venues for use over the Autumn/Winter- Upwey & Broadway Memorial Hall is the Wednesday evening venue and Willowbed Hall in Chickerell is the Sunday morning venue. Both in Weymouth.
